Service terms and conditions for small engine repair services

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the services of Dan's Service & Supply Corporation, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Services Provided

We provide small engine repair and maintenance services including but not limited to:

  • Lawn mower repair and maintenance
  • Chainsaw service and sharpening
  • Snow blower repair and winterization
  • Generator maintenance and testing
  • Weed trimmer and leaf blower service
  • Pressure washer repair
  • ATV/UTV small engine work

3. Service Process

Estimates and Authorization

  • We provide written estimates for all repair work
  • A diagnostic fee of $35 applies to all equipment inspections
  • Diagnostic fees are credited toward approved repairs
  • No work begins without customer authorization
  • Additional repairs discovered during service require separate approval

Equipment Drop-off and Pickup

  • Equipment should be clean and free of debris when possible
  • Customer is responsible for removing personal items
  • We are not responsible for items left in or on equipment
  • Equipment must be picked up within 30 days of completion
  • Storage fees of $5 per day apply after 30 days

4. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due upon completion and pickup of equipment
  • We accept cash, check, and major credit cards
  • Returned checks incur a $35 service fee
  • For repairs over $500, payment plans may be available
  • Emergency service fees apply for same-day and after-hours service

5. Warranty and Liability

Service Warranty

  • We provide a 90-day warranty on all repair work and parts
  • Warranty covers defects in workmanship and part failures
  • Warranty does not cover normal wear, misuse, or lack of maintenance
  • Warranty repairs must be performed at our facility

Limitation of Liability

  • Our liability is limited to the cost of the repair service provided
  • We are not liable for consequential or incidental damages
  • Customer assumes responsibility for equipment after pickup
  • We are not responsible for equipment left on our premises beyond 60 days

6. Customer Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information about equipment problems
  • Maintain equipment according to manufacturer recommendations
  • Use proper fuel and oil as specified by manufacturer
  • Pick up completed equipment within 30 days
  • Report warranty issues within the warranty period

7. Cancellation and Returns

  • Customers may cancel service before work begins
  • Diagnostic fees are non-refundable once inspection is complete
  • Work in progress may be subject to labor charges
  • Used parts and fluids cannot be returned

8. Environmental and Safety Compliance

  • We dispose of fluids and parts according to environmental regulations
  • Safety recalls and modifications are performed when applicable
  • We may refuse service on equipment deemed unsafe
  • Customer is responsible for proper equipment operation post-service

9. Privacy and Data Protection

Customer information is handled according to our Privacy Policy. We maintain service records for warranty and business purposes.

10. Dispute Resolution

  • We encourage customers to contact us directly to resolve any concerns
  • Disputes will be resolved according to Kansas state law
  • Any legal proceedings must be conducted in Kansas courts

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Updated terms will be posted on our website and take effect immediately.
